Spring 2013

Again, we apologize for our disaster of a blog. We make it a point to give our customers updates but thus far we have not been blogging. ….

Quick update: We have pre-ordered hundreds, possibly 1000 shirts for summer and we have a few more retail locations to update you on.  We are moving into a larger space in Wells and we will be adding several new it’s always the weekend products to the collection.

As many of you know, we frequent a local pub call Feile and we partnered up with for St. Patricks Day. They used the phrase it’s always the weekend and made a huge splash! We are hoping to work with a few more pubs this summer and work more on co-branding. It is a really great concept and Feile’s customers really grasped i

We are hoping to have a photoshoot soon and if you know anyone who loves to model or loves hanging out at the pool or local patio bar, let us know, we need them. Till next time – we hope sooner than later. it’s always the weekend

Wow, it is fall – already!

Hello Fans and Customers,

We have been terrible at posting our updates on our blog but we are serious when we say, we have been busy!  Please keep up with us via  social media for more uptodate happenings. www.facebook.com/weekendthreads www.twitter.com/weekendthreads

Some updates:

Remember David Cornthwaite? The man who was going to swim 1000 miles? Well, he swam a bit more and finished his goal in under 2 months! We were proud to sponsor and follow such a great athlete. We may collaborate more in the future with Dave and we will keep you posted.

We surpassed all of our sales goals at the Wells and York Beach, Maine – Chamber of Commerce events. We launched a new font in York (kept it super simple) and sold out of them all in York. We are now looking into other products that can keep our mission moving forward. it’s always the weekend!

On Nov 3rd, we are sponsoring an event in Hyannis for melanoma. This is more than a sponsorship for us. Our President and CEO, went to college with Glenna so helping out a great cause like this not only informs our customers about the disease but also helps out a great person and a great charity. We know Glenna would be wearing her it’s always the weekend tshirts and shades proudly.

If we think of anything else, just ask. Until next time, Cheers!

Your Friends at Weekend Threads -

Summer is coming to an end

Hello Everyone, We have only broken one promise to our customers and fans and that is not keeping giving you more information via blog posts. We are excellent as facebook and twitter but we are trying. Heck, it’s always the weekend!

Thank you to all of our customers for a great summer. Our phrase it’s always the weekend kindof contradicts this statement but really, it is the middle of Sept.

We still need your input for next summer and we are currently working on winter line. Be on the look out for winter hats, mittens etc.

As we wrap up Sept, I wanted to invite our fans who live life like it’s always the weekend to visit us at some events. Below is our schedule until Oct 15th. Thanks!

September 13 from 4:30 to 7 we will be with our friends at Seacoast Happy Hour in Portsmouth. go to www.facebook.com/weekendthreads for more information

From the 14th to 17 we will be at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas for a retreat at the pool. We will be stocked with gear so come say hello.

From the 21st to 23rd we will be in Newport, RI selling to college kids at our Pop up shop. To purchase in advance, use the coupon code “weekend” for 15% percent off.

See you soon!

PS. we have sunglasses in 3 colors now! Green, Pink and Orange -

It’s Already August!

Wow, the summer is flying past us! Good thing It’s Always The Weekend. If you follow us on twitter or facebook, you know we have had an action packed summer and there is still more to come. twitter.com/weekendthreads facebook.com/weekendthreads

Last weekend we were fortunate enough to take part in an event called Paddle at the Point which was in Ogunquit, Maine. This event supported the Molly Fund and Weekend Threads was a silver sponsor. We hope to find more events where we can donate to a good cause and show new customers why it’s always the weekend.

Our next sponsorship is a little bit different but so exciting. We will be sponsoring David Cornthwaite on his 1000 mile swim. Dave is a world adventurer and will wear his Weekend Threads proudly as it has his hashtag on his shirt.

Dave will be raising money for a few charities, one being Coppafeel. We have agreed to donate $5.00 per shirt to this great charity while also donating a ton of It’s Always The Weekend apparel to Dave and his team. For more information on Dave, please go to www.davecornthwaite.com. Look out for our shirts as he begins his travels on August 9th.

Last but not least…. As we try to keep Weekend Threads moving forward, we are trying to enter a new market. This market is college and university based. We have connected with about a half dozen college students and hope to roll this new initiative in the fall. Until next time, remember, live life like it’s always the weekend because if the weekend ends, life is over. Cheers and happy summer!

Exciting things happening

Happy Summer2012! First off, thank you to all of our loyal fans who have stood by us while we have been making changes. We would not be where we are today without each and every one of you.

Over the course of the past two years, we have listened to our customers because (heck) they are ones who actually buy. We took their requests and implemented them and really hope you enjoy. Please, let us know.

Our biggest change was our font. While many of our customers enjoyed the old font, many of our fans did not. We needed more customers and we are seeing the difference with the new font.  We took some pols, took some chances and made some strong changes. We hope you love our new font, we do. Additionally, we hired a new designer and have about 5 designs that we can’t wait to show you.

Well we hope to celebrate the weekend with you soon. Feel free to help us promote the weekends, you wont be sorry you did. Thanks!

Cheers -

Koozies, New Designs and More! Summer 2012

Slowing but surely, we will be launching our new summer products but for now, please stay patient. Weekend Threads will always carry the “original tees” but with modifications to the font. We will never forget where we came from.

Our favorite slogan, it’s always the weekend® has become a household phrase and we are so happy that our customers love it but need to offer more.

In upcoming weeks, keep your eyes out for our new logo, a new brand of shirts, more colorful koozies and of course our beach products.

Weekend Threads and our it’s always the weekend brand will once again be down on Cape Cod with WearsWoody, a brand that features a national flip flop brand. Talk to you soon!

Weekend Threads!

Summer of 2012 is almost here…

Summer of 2012 is almost here and while we love tee shirts, we have decided to expand our line a bit more. In 2012, you will see the it’s always the weekend brand on koozies, license plates, glasses and beer mugs. Have an idea of someone who may need a local koozie? We hope you will be able to purchase in stores by next month. Thanks!

FYI – We just found a great website about everything Nantucket. Take a look at www.nantucketforyou.com
